About Me

Hi, I’m Rowan.

 

I’m a clothes maker, pattern cutter and artist with 30 years experience in fashion, art and teaching. I have worked across multiple clothing sectors from everyday wear and streetwear, through to costumes and the extraordinary.

Alongside this, I have worked as a sculptor and artist, in a variety of settings, and have taught both sewing and art to children, young people and adults.

​

My creative approach is shaped by a deep understanding of neurodivergence, especially autism and communication differences. This awareness naturally informs how I design, collaborate, teach and create, making Curious Studio a space where individuality and diverse forms of self-expression are welcomed and celebrated. 

​

I also offer gender affirming clothing alterations for trans and nonbinary people. ​​
